Product Manager Cell Culture (m/f/d)

Capricorn Scientific is a growing company in the field of Life Science, supporting customers worldwide in academic research, biotechnological production, and global distribution through our network of distributors. We manufacture a broad portfolio of media, reagents, and sera for cell culture. To strengthen our Sales & Marketing team, we are looking for a

Product Manager Cell Culture (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

  • Launching new and innovative products, including international launch campaigns
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating marketing campaigns in close collaboration with Sales and Marketing
  • Managing and strategically developing the product portfolio throughout the entire product life cycle
  • Providing technical support to international customer groups and distribution partners
  • Designing, creating, and continuously developing clear and comprehensible product documentation
  • Maintaining price lists and calculating market-oriented prices
  • Conducting market, potential, and competitive analyses
  • Acting as the central point of contact for all internal departments regarding product-related matters
  • Training Sales and Marketing teams as well as customers
  • Representing the company at national and international trade fairs and conferences

 

Your Qualifications

  • Successfully completed degree in a natural science field (e.g. Biology, Biotechnology, or comparable)
  • Initial professional experience in Product Management or related fields is an advantage
  • Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Practical experience in cell culture applications
  • Confident handling of documentation and structured document management
  • Very good knowledge of common MS Office applications
  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
  • Strong team-working skills as well as a professional, customer- and service-oriented manner
  • Very good command of German and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Team spirit, creativity, and flexibility

Inside Sales Manager (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

Management and Monitoring of Sales Processes

  • Following up on quotations, customer inquiries, reservations, and other sales activities
  • Supporting the field sales team in the preparation and follow-up of customer appointments (tour planning) and quotations
  • Monitoring and supporting follow-up processes
  • Identifying process gaps and developing suggestions for improvement
  • Ensuring consistent use of the CRM system and maintaining the ERP system

Interface Management between Field Sales and Order Processing

  • Central coordination between field sales, order processing, and, where applicable, other departments such as Product Management and Operations
  • Ensuring a smooth flow of information
  • Monitoring the timely dispatch of customer orders

Control and Quality Assurance

  • Reviewing the completeness and quality of customer and sales data
  • Monitoring the completeness of customer projects
  • Preparing and tracking relevant sales KPIs and reporting to management

Active Customer Support and Development

  • Telephone and digital communication with existing customers
  • Proactively identifying customer needs and additional sales opportunities
  • Reactivating inactive customers and acquiring new customers
  • Independently managing defined customers or customer segments

Sales Management and Sales Support

  • Prioritizing leads and sales opportunities together with the field sales team
  • Coordinating sales activities and campaigns

 

Your Qualifications

  • Successfully completed degree in a natural science field (e.g. Biology, Biotechnology) or comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in inside sales, sales support, or a comparable sales-related position is an advantage
  • Good understanding of sales processes, particularly quotation management, order processing, lead and opportunity management
  • Experience in active customer contact and telephone support of existing customers is an advantage
  • Confident use of CRM and ERP systems as well as very good MS Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Strong communication and coordination skills when working with order processing and field sales
  • Structured, independent, and reliable working style
  • Solution-oriented mindset and willingness to critically question and improve existing processes
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills as well as fluent business English
