Advantages at a glance
The human embryonic kidney cell line HEK293 has biosynthetic potential for human-like production and is nowadays used for manufacturing of several therapeutic proteins and viral vectors. While initially used for adenoviral vector production, HEK293 also became one of the preferred cell lines for transient or stable protein expression. The need for proper protein folding and glycosylation of therapeutic proteins has promoted the production in HEK293.
Specifically designed for stable recombinant protein expression in HEK293 cells, our solution supports high cell densities in scalable batch and fed-batch processes, giving you flexibility in production.
The chemically defined, protein-free formulation eliminates animal-derived components, reduces variability, and simplifies downstream processing. At the same time, it ensures robust suspension adaptation, stable growth kinetics, and consistently high cell viability above 90%.
