Description

The HEKstar 293 Expression Kit was developed to provide a complete and flexible media platform for reliable protein production in HEK293 suspension cultures.

The kit consists of the HEKstar 293 Expression Medium and the corresponding feeding supplements Feed A and Feed B. Together, they support robust suspension adaptation, stable growth kinetics with viabilities above 90%, and high productivity from early process development to large-scale bioreactor production.

HEKstar 293 is a chemically defined, protein-free and animal component-free medium optimized for stable batch and fed-batch expression processes. Due to its broad formulation, the system is also suitable for pilot-scale transient transfection workflows where moderate expression levels are sufficient.

The modular feed system enables flexible feeding strategies and clone-specific optimization during process development, allowing efficient adaptation to a wide range of HEK293 derivatives.
